Agreement to these terms

These Terms of Service are an agreement between you and Cozyapps (“we,” “us,” or “our”). By downloading, accessing, or using FocusRead, you agree to these terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

Using FocusRead

FocusRead is a personal reading companion that provides library organization, reading sessions, progress tracking, summaries, and AI-generated reflections. You may use it only in compliance with applicable law and app-store rules.

You must be at least 13 years old, or the minimum age required in your country to consent to use an online service. If local law requires parental consent, a parent or legal guardian must provide it.

Your account

You are responsible for providing accurate information, maintaining the security of your sign-in credentials, and activity under your account. Notify us promptly at frenk.q8@gmail.com if you believe your account has been compromised.

Subscriptions, trials, and billing

• Paid features may require an automatically renewing subscription purchased through Google Play or the Apple App Store.
• Prices, billing periods, taxes, trial availability, and renewal terms are shown by the applicable app store before purchase. Store-displayed terms control if they differ from promotional text in the app.
• Unless you cancel before a free trial ends, the subscription automatically converts to a paid subscription and your store account is charged.
• You can manage or cancel through your app-store account. Deleting FocusRead or your account does not cancel a subscription.
• Refunds are handled under the applicable app store’s policies and applicable law.

Your content

You keep ownership of summaries, notes, and other content you submit. You give Cozyapps a limited permission to host, process, transmit, and display that content only as needed to operate, secure, and improve FocusRead, including generating the AI response you request.

You are responsible for content you submit and must have the right to use it. Do not submit unlawful, harmful, infringing, or privacy-violating content.

AI-generated content

AI reflections and questions are generated automatically and can be incomplete, inaccurate, or inappropriate. They are provided as reading and reflection aids, not as professional, medical, legal, financial, or other expert advice. Review AI output before relying on or sharing it.

Acceptable use

You may not misuse FocusRead, attempt unauthorized access, interfere with its operation, bypass subscription or security controls, use automated systems to overload the service, reverse engineer it where prohibited by law, or use it to violate another person’s rights.

Our rights and third-party services

FocusRead, its design, software, branding, and original content are owned by Cozyapps or its licensors and are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. FocusRead also relies on third-party services and app stores. Their terms may apply separately, and we are not responsible for services outside our control.

Changes and availability

We may update, add, remove, suspend, or discontinue features to maintain security, comply with law, or improve the service. We aim to keep FocusRead available, but do not promise uninterrupted or error-free operation.

Disclaimers and limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, FocusRead is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of uninterrupted availability, fitness for a particular purpose, or accuracy of AI-generated content. Cozyapps will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the service. Nothing in these terms excludes rights or liability that cannot legally be excluded.

Suspension and termination

You may stop using FocusRead at any time and can delete your account through the app or our account-deletion page. We may suspend or terminate access when reasonably necessary for security, legal compliance, serious misuse, or repeated violation of these terms.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as FocusRead or legal requirements change. We will update the effective date and may provide additional notice for material changes. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised terms where permitted by law.
